Sustainability Week Day 1 – Cleaner Air
Sustainability Week Day 1 – Cleaner Air
Cleaner Air Cleaner Stretchline
The last few months have had a big impact on the ways we live; our lives have changed and all of us are adapting to new ways to get through day to day. Companies around the world have had to adapt how they operate, with zoom meetings becoming the new normal and a limited number of staff being allowed in the workplace at one time. What’s more, it has had a massive effect on the environment as well!
Over the last two months, air quality has significantly improved with studies finding that levels of nitrogen dioxide have fallen by 40% while tiny particulate matter – known as PM2.5 – is down by 10%. This sharp fall is mainly due to less people being on the roads, as well as industries halting production, meaning that there is less industry pollution.
Stretchline is dedicated to keeping this trend going and we are proud to say that we are constantly looking for ways that we can improve our site so they are more environmentally friendly. We have eliminated coal from all our sites by moving to more sustainable alternatives that have a less damaging effect on our amazing planet. We have also reduced our paper usage over the last 3 years and continue to do so, we also take part in reforestation programmes where we collaborate with local teams to help repopulate our forests. We will continue to look for ways to improve our environmental footprint, this is just the start.
Until next time!
